About Me

I am a licensed professional counselor and mental health service provider (LPC-MHSP) in the state of Tennessee, as well as a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois. I have experience treating a wide variety of mental health issues and working with a broad range of clients but particularly feel drawn towards working with adults experiencing grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, spiritual issues, stress and health issues, trauma, and those who would say they are highly sensitive and don’t quite know how they fit into the world around them.

I hold a B.A. in psychology from Olivet Nazarene University and received a M.A. in clinical psychology from Wheaton College in 2005. I worked in community mental health before

starting a private practice in Illinois. After relocating to Tennessee, I joined the staff of a local church to help lead the pastoral care ministries and then completed training to become a spiritual director through the School of Sustainable Faith in 2018. I primarily have been using my gifts and training outside the traditional counseling setting but felt the draw back to this space as I engaged my own work and in the midst of the collective challenges we’ve all been navigating these past few years.

When I'm not in my office, I'm usually with my family, shooting hoops or throwing a football with my four boys, reading, or creating something.
